Was thinking, vaguely, of going to Greenland, seeing it's, more or less, in the same vicinity as Finland so I did a bit of research. Turns out, you can only get there via Denmark or Iceland. There are flights from Helsinki but they go via Reykjavik, which would be fun, but take about 12 hours. It would be easier to go to Canada! I thought. Hmmm, Canada... More specifically, St John's in Newfoundland.
So I did a bit more research -Air Canada flies to St John's from Helsinki via Germany and Montreal. The shortest flight is 16 hours and the cheapest costs more than my ticket to Finland did.
I would like to visit Iceland, but then, so do thousands and thousands of others and it's causing real problems, so I'll leave them alone and head somewhere else.
