I'm catching the 1039 train from Jyvaskuyla on the 6th of Oct, arriving in Joensuu at 1353. Joensuu is about as far east in Finland as you can get by rail. I'm staying at the Greenstar Hotel, which I'm hoping lives up to its name and claims.
And then its on to Helsinki on the 8th and the Ava Hotel. Very convenient and cheap.
I've also booked passage on the Viking ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki on the 18th; still have to book the final couple of days in Hel. I would book the Ava again, unfortunately they don't have any single rooms available, just two bedrooms (like wot we stayed in this time 2 years ago).
