The Planes

 The Lapland Air Command (Finnish: Lapin Lennosto, abbr. LapLsto; Swedish: Lapplands flygflottilj) is the peace-time Finnish Air Force unit responsible for the protection of the airspace of northern Finland. The headquarters of the air command is located in the present-day province of Lapland, at Rovaniemi Airport.

The things you learn. I've heard a lot of jets fly over and thought it strange that the local, small, airport could be so busy. Now I know. I saw a couple of jets fly over yesterday.

So today, I plan to drive out to the airport and see what I can see (and hope I don't get arrested as a spy).

Just had another jet fly over - it was black and rather beautiful.

As long as it wasn't a black helicopter!

I did see a helicopter but it was black and white.
